Cutting and Welding Equipment

Regulators, workshop user points and gas optimisers for cutting and welding gas supply, for workshops and fabrication sites running oxygen, acetylene and shielding gases from cylinders or piped systems. This is our own range, built for daily workshop use rather than laboratory purity.

Count the gases at the work position. A single technical gas outlet is the CO2 outlet and line valve. A bay running argon alongside oxy-propane is a combined user point, in one argon or two argon versions. If the problem is gas cost rather than gas supply, the welding gas optimiser is the unit for cutting wastage in the welding process.

Common questions

Can the same regulator be used for oxygen and for fuel gas?
No. Oxygen and fuel gas regulators use different cylinder connections and different internal materials, and the connections are deliberately incompatible so that the two cannot be interchanged. Order a regulator for the gas it will be used on, and never adapt a fitting to make one reach the other cylinder.
What does a welding gas optimiser do?
It reduces the shielding gas wasted in normal welding, so a cylinder covers more work. How much it saves depends on the equipment, the length of the hose run and how the job is run, so we do not quote a percentage. Tell us your setup and we will say whether it is likely to pay for itself.
What is a combined user point?
A user point is a fixed outlet at the work position, fed from a piped supply or a cylinder bank rather than from a cylinder standing in the bay. A combined user point serves more than one gas at the same position, for example argon alongside oxy-propane, with separate controls for each. It keeps cylinders out of the working area.
