The C200 series are standard valves for industrial and medical applications for different inert, inert mixtures and flammable gas service.
Industrial Cylinder Valves
Standard cylinder valves for industrial gases, CO2 valves, residual pressure valves that keep a positive pressure in an empty cylinder to stop contamination, and stainless steel valves for corrosive gases. Rotarex, in the standard outlet connections.
Start with the gas and the cylinder pressure. The C200 to C215 standard valves cover 200 bar and 300 bar cylinders, the C040 and C045 are the CO2 valves, and the D160S packed valve is for corrosive gases. Add a residual pressure valve where the cylinder must never draw air back in as it runs down. Outlets are to the national standard of the cylinder.

Common questions
- What is a residual pressure valve?
- It keeps a small positive pressure in the cylinder once it has been emptied, so that air and moisture cannot be drawn back in. That protects the next fill from contamination and protects the cylinder itself. The device in this range holds about 1 bar in line and about 3 bar off line, with 3 bar guaranteed at maximum flow, and it includes a non return function.
- What is a bursting disc on a cylinder valve?
- It is a pressure relief element that ruptures if the cylinder pressure rises beyond a safe level, releasing the contents in a controlled way rather than letting the cylinder fail. Not every valve has one. In this range the C045, C205 and C215 carry a bursting disc and the C040, C200 and C210 do not, so the version has to match what your filling and storage regime requires.
- What does the TPED marking mean?
- TPED is the European Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive. A valve carrying the pi mark and a notified body number, 0029 on these valves, has been assessed for transportable cylinder service. The marking also carries the valve number and the date of manufacture, which together are what an inspector will look for on the valve.
