Three questions: the flow, which sets the seat size, from 4 mm on the diaphragm line valves to 80 mm on the bellows valves; the pressure, from 15 bar low pressure bellows valves to 300 bar on the HP3000; and the actuation, hand, pneumatic or oleo pneumatic. Cryogenic duty points to the K900 and HP9000, non return duty to the check valves.

Common questions
- What is a bellows sealed valve?
- A bellows sealed valve puts a flexible metal bellows between the stem and the gas, so the gas never reaches the stem packing and cannot escape along the stem. It removes the usual leak path at the stem and it does not wear the way packing does. In this range the bellows are AISI 316L, replaceable on some models, with a Hastelloy option.
- What is a check valve used for in a gas line?
- A check valve allows flow in one direction only, so gas cannot travel back up the line towards the supply. It is used where two supplies join, where a downstream system could sit at a higher pressure, or where backflow would contaminate a clean line. There is one check valve in this range, with a stated cracking pressure on its page.
- What does cryogenic duty mean for a valve?
- It means the valve is built to work at the temperatures of liquefied gases, where ordinary seat materials and seals become brittle or shrink out of tolerance. Two models in this range are specified for cryogenic service and one for low cryogenic. The temperature range is on each product page and is the figure to check against your own duty.
