Cylinder connectors and nipples for the connection standards used around the world: CGA and DISS (American), BS 341 (British), DIN (German), ISO 5145 NEVOC (European), AFNOR (French), AS 2473 (Australian), UNI (Italian), NEN 3268 (Dutch), ITC EP-6 (Spanish), IRAM (Argentine) and IBMT (Brazilian), plus CGA and DISS 30 series cylinder valve gaskets. If you know the standard your cylinder or gas bottle uses, you know your connector.

Then it is the outlet number for the gas, which the standards assign gas by gas, and the outlet you need on the equipment side, 16 x 1.336 or 1/4 NPT male across the range. Chrome plated brass covers standard gases, stainless steel is there where the gas calls for it, and DISS is the connection for semiconductor and UHP cylinders, with the 30 Series gaskets as the replacement seal.

What is DISS and where is it used?
DISS stands for Diameter Index Safety System, part of CGA V-1. Each gas is assigned a number, and the nipple diameter and the seat differ between numbers so that a connection can only be made to its matching outlet. It is the usual connection for semiconductor and ultra high purity cylinders, and this range covers DISS numbers 632 to 642 and 712 to 728.
What material should a cylinder connector be?
Chrome plated brass covers standard gases and is what most of this range is made in. Stainless steel, 316L, is specified where the gas requires it, and the ultra high purity connectors use a 316L or VAR nipple with a nickel or PCTFE gasket. The material follows the gas rather than a preference, so it is worth stating the gas when you enquire.
What if I do not know which standard my cylinder uses?
Read the cylinder valve outlet. The standard and the outlet number are normally stamped on the valve, and that pair is all we need. If the stamp is not legible, tell us the gas, the country the cylinder was filled in and the supplier, and we will identify it. We would rather check than send a connector that does not fit.
