The bench mounted regulator with a fine adjustment valve added on the outlet. The regulator sets the working pressure and the outlet valve trims the flow beyond it, which matters when an instrument needs a steady low delivery rather than simply a set pressure. Two controls in one assembly, so the coarse and the fine adjustment stay together at the bench instead of being split across the supply line.
